GoDs Wrath Clan [GoD] was formed in Ultima Online on the Great Lakes shard in 1997 by our founding father, The Keeper.

Our member base is currently at 40 members (http://www.godswrathclan.net/members.php) strong and our core members have been playing together since 1997. Not many other guilds in the online world today can boast that.

Since our founding (http://www.godswrathclan.net/lore.php?lore=history&history=1997) 7 years ago, we've competed in countless online games. GoD is a diehard Player Vs. Player guild. We've also participated in numerous alphas/betas of online games, such as Ultima Online, Dark Age of Camelot, Asheron's Call, Shadowbane, World of Warcraft, City of Heroes, and more. We strive to find the fun and excitement that Ultima Online of old offered us, yet no game has done that for us yet.

We took part in the E3 Guild Wars and absolutely loved it and when I say we, I mean the entirety of our 40 man guild. Some of us even took a vacation from work to play the game.

This game provides the excitement and competition of guild vs. guild combat without the leveling grind of the other games currently out. Exactly what GoDs Wrath Clan is looking for. We would like to get into the alpha/beta as a guild and compete against other guilds of our caliber. Hell, it's what we live for.

I played on Pacific with a friend of mine. Left one year after trammel (there was still some good guild PvP going on, just not as fun, but better than EQ). Killed many people, looted many houses, had lots of piled up garbage. I to tried some of the free shards, and none seemed to match it, though IPY did come close, and the closest I found was The Abandoned Times, but it was too Abandoned about a month after I joined.

I miss those days and will always think of them fondly.

There were no guild functions at all so no one could tell who was with who at the time. We also didnt bother trying the whole "insert name here" Of GoD. Also most of us didnt even use our normal names.

you are quite wrong, we did make an impression everytime we logged in and made a group we found ourself at the top everytime. I dunno about them but i was a little dissapointed.

it was kinda silly how easily it was.. but it was fun

Just some more details how it worked was we logged in 2 of the 3 nights as a guild during primetime and played for 5/6 hours till people had to goto bed. We did awesome, not losing at all specially during some of the levels we had won with 5 people because others had left us.

other times people just played randomly by themselves or messed around with random groups we did not sit and gain fame all day. we had other things todo but we did however run the show as a guild when we were logged in as a guild.

Finally an MMORPG competitive enough for me to really get into, I can't take another leveling treadmill game, and those 3 days of e3 were AWESOME. Also, I like the different possible combinations of characters. I'm still trying to get a feel for the whole system, but it seems promising.

Lol who the heck is that Creek guy- he's insane. I played with my guild twice too during E3, but generally allies had to leave after an hour or two and I couldn't usually stay on over 2 hours that week so i think I only got like 125 fame the whole time- I had a crapload of fun and our guild never lost a battle but we didn't spend endless hours on lol. I have seen other screenshots of people with over a thousand fame from E3 and thats just madness :laugh: .

i wasn't aware of this.

why would we tone it down we take our guild seriously we are friends irl, most of us know each other fairly well, have good chemistry together and we wouldn't want just anyone to easily get in.

Can't we all just get along? We will all get a chance to play Guild Wars so why try to flame each other? If a guild doesn't make it into alpha testing then they can still play the game during the beta event(s). We are here because we care about the development of this game. We've seen so many games go down the tubes because people were worried about the wrong aspects of the game and we do not want to see that happen to Guild Wars. Hrm, sorry took us so long to respond, we forgot about this thread, heh...

Actually we are almost entirely Canada/America(I put Canada first to help with their low self-esteem) based. We've recently taken a German under our wing (Melkor). There is nothing better than hearing "GET TO TEH CHOPPA!!!" supplemented with a true German accent. We've also got two Mexicans, but they managed to get across the border, so their American now(Really).

On the subject of whether we are exclusively of certain nationalities...well, I handle our recruiting, and anything is fair game as long as you can speak and type understandable English. Except for the French. Damn phraugs.
