Botox is in Xen of Sigils, currently ranked 80 on the ladder, which is why he mentioned that I think.

Our recent expansion in preparation for Factions has brought in a bunch of new people (on average 5 or 6 a day). All of us would like to get our rank and rating up back to where it has been in the past in our main GvG divisions (150-200 last ladder season), but it takes time to get all these new people trained.

Amount of losses and wins are merely a sign of activity, not skill. Rating and win:loss ratio are the true measures of skill. Their records are not "disgraceful"--the most active of the chain have more or less a 1:1 win ratio which isn't really "disgraceful" especially not for the type of people they recruit. You seem to have quite a bit of hostility towards XoO and my guess is that it's something you're not mentioning here.

Yeah, smurf guilds ruin the top 100. Only anout 70 guilds on the top 100 are actual guilds, the other 30 are copies of guilds who cheated their opponents out of the top 100 slot. You know what's really sad? My guild has owned every guild we've fought, with the exception of 2. One of them we admire, because they have a really good strategy, and the other guild that beat us was EviL, rank1. We have trashed all of your smurfs, and kicked most of them off the ladder. I encourage every original guild to do their best and end smurf guilds from ruining competitive play.
BTW if you have no clue what this thread is about, this is what a smurf guild is:
If a top 100 guild wants to bump other guilds off the top100 ladder without ruining their rank, they create a second guild (called a smurf) and GVG with it until both the smurf guild and the original guild are taking up slots on the top 100.

Yeah, it's such a disgrace when their chain of guilds is so bad, they attracted a group of people that got into the GWWC playoffs. I mean, thats so crap for a PvP guild.

First, which guild are you a representative of?

Second, your definition of what a smurf represents is not an accurate portrayl. Smurfs exists for a high ranking guild to test out newer builds without losing rating on a untested build. Generally Speaking, most higher ranked guilds have a very good understanding of GvG and technique, and with their talent and experience are able to get their smurf into the Top 100. I somewhat doubt most higher ranking guild's have a mindset to sabotage the guild ladder with multiple guilds in the Top 100, considering I've experienced playing against smurfs that leave after leaving nothing but our Guild Lord alive, thus saving our ranking. There may be a minority of the guild representation that do decide to do this, but I think as a general consensus, most smurfs exist for advanced training, and that's it. Their ladder ranking is merely an indirect result of their talent and experience.

Last, while I don't know each and every smurf that exists, I just scrolled through the Top 100, and came up with about 10 (+/- 3) smurfs that exist. Where do you get the 70/30 combination, besides a vendetta against smurfs? And you shouldn't be so upset against them if you've 'owned' each and every guild you've faced, sans the two that you mentioned, surely you've faced a smurf at least a few times, and should have 'owned' them also.

Xoo is a huge guild, and their gvg teams with 100's of battles probably have never run the same team of players more than a handful of times. The fact they used to maintain a 100-200 rank while constantly bringing new players into the mix is a credit to their leadership.

Xoo has done more to promote and encourage the PvP community in Guildwars than any other guild, hands down. How many complete noobs have you bothered to train up?

XoO does something that no other decent pvp guild do... taking players without pvp experience and teach them how to play PvP. This willingness to train new players and give them an opening into the pvp community is great for the entire GvG community and pvp in general because the fresh blood keeps the game from becoming stale.

So I think it's very ignorant to diss XoO's record when that's a result of them being a training guild.

How about you shut up and go make your own guild and do as good as they've done?

Plus, they have introduced hundred's of people into GvG. They are like the iway of GvG, a nice way to get into the game, but that still allowes people to win occasionally.

I mean, honestly, we all make fun of them behind their backs, but doing it on a public forum is horrid.

Kudos to iGi, i know a lot of guilds wouldn't have thought twice about finishing off a guild, it's a show of good sportsmanship on their part.

And XoO has done a great job as a guild, helping others out who are new to the game. I know it's a pretty bold statement, but I think if it weren't for them, then quite a number of people would have left the game when they couldn't find a sociable guild.

XoO is a very organized and recongnized guild and despite several losses to them through "smurfs" which aren't really smurfts, I feel they are a great group. They teach people, they let tht people know that they are part of the community and includd people everywhere. I think that you are very biased and stupid to say such a dumb thing anywhere on guild wars because i think half the guild wars world is XoO lol
