Race-based guild names

I believe that in an article way back in the day, the developers mentioned the idea of allowing players to have unguilded charactes, or different charactes in different guilds, and even mentioned the possibility of a characte being in 2 or more guilds at once, especially if one is a pvp guild and another pve, or if they just want to stay in a guild with friends.

This opens up the possibility of funny guild ideas, like an all-charr guild named Charr-Broiled, or as I mentioned in another thread, a sylvari guild named Fir Honor and Glory.

Makes me wonder if there will be unique tool-looking equipment for the asura, because a crowbar would complete the joke.

I just always got a kick out of the guild names in wow, and this means there will be a lot more, if true.

It would be fun if there are NPC Guilds in the game too so that those that don't want to join a player guild, can join one still, enjoy team play but without the standard guild drama that comes with it... but limit them to not being able to GvG of course

Well it wold be like the NPC corporations in EvE Online, they still take a tax, etc, but they are unable to goto war (so they are fairly safe for newbies) and they are static in who they can ally with, unlike a player corp who's fluid nature allows it to ally with whoever and set taxes to whatever is needed, but can be wardec'd by any other corp/alliance

I always preferred funny guild names. Anyone remember Dild [omen]? Only guild I know of that Anet made change their name. I also find it funny when people make really bad guild names and compete in high level PvP. We just lost to "Chaos Defenders of Ascalon"? What the hell...
