Well, while we are posting random information:

Rapist wins $18m lottery

A rapist serving life in prison in Britain has scooped STG7 million ($A18.07 million) on the National Lottery, it emerged today.

Iorworth Hoare, 52, was on temporary release from a Middlesbrough bail hostel when his numbers came up in last Saturday's Lotto Extra draw.

His catalogue of crimes includes one rape, two attempted rapes and three indecent assaults.

Hoare, formerly of Seacroft Gate, Leeds, was jailed for life at Leeds Crown Court in 1989.

According to the Sun, Hoare, a coalminer's son, began a series of sex attacks while he was still in his 20s and was sentenced to a total of 18 years between 1973 and 1987.

He was finally jailed for life at Leeds Crown Court, in May 1989, for attempting to rape a 60-year-old woman in a park in the city.

He was on weekend leave from Middlesbrough's South Bank bail hostel when he won his STG7,039,469 ($A18.1 million) fortune.

Under Home Office guidelines prisoners in open conditions - on a day release or community project - are allowed to take part in the lottery and claim prizes. They can also play the football pools and buy Premium Bonds.God moves in mysterious ways...

Makes my eyes water trying to read that. :D

As for the other: Why does a prisoner doing life in prison get a 'temporary release'? Doesn't it defeat the whole purpose of punishing him for his crimes?

Actually, it really doesn't work at all once you get to anagrammatical artifacts.

Actually it does work because the brain can take the words in context of the rest of the sentance.

ysteadry I saw tehre snignig fleid lnois at the zoo!

However yes words that can be arranged differently to get different words are more problematical, but the point is the brain can interpret most words even if they are reversed. I thought it was pretty coold that I could read what the first post said rather quickly as long as I didn't try to think about it too hard.

I heard this before.
It is not true nessarily. Cambridge never did such a study.

If you scramble most ordinary sentences, especially one's with larger words, it is often quite difficult to read if scrambled randomly.
However, if scrambled properly (meaning in a fashin which makes it the most difficult to read), it can be extremely difficult to cipher what the sentence is saying at all.

As an example, the original quote stating the "fact" that is scrambled is Scrambled in a way which is pretty easy to understand. If you scramble it up yourself so that it's harder to read, and then send it to somone, they will have a much harder time with it. I tried it myself.
